Indian maize grits for bulk food and processing enquiries. Define degermed identity, full sieve distribution, intended process, release tests and an approved application sample before contracting.
A label such as coarse, medium, fine or a mesh range can be interpreted differently. Define the complete retained-and-passing distribution, sieve aperture units and test method, then approve the product in the buyer's process.
State yellow or white maize where relevant, degermed status, removal of bran/germ, permitted recombination and any treatment or additive declaration.
List each sieve aperture, percentage retained and passing, fines maximum and oversize maximum. Avoid relying on a single marketing term.
Define moisture, ash, fat, protein and the destination-appropriate microbiological, mycotoxin, residue and foreign-matter scope.
State the intended process and trial protocol. Snack, extrusion, cereal or brewing references are enquiry contexts, not performance guarantees.
Compare the current FSSAI degermed maize meal and grits standard with Codex CXS 155-1985. Start with the yellow maize input, compare maize flour, and record acceptance fields in the purchase-specification guide.
