How the Reference Range Is Built

The calculator combines an FOB product benchmark, packing adjustment and route/container freight benchmark. CIF adds an indicative marine-insurance allowance. It then applies separate product and freight variability bands so volatile inputs are not disguised as a precise quote.

Domestic mandi data can help explain crop-market direction, but it is not the same as an export-ready FOB price. Likewise, freight indexes do not replace a carrier or forwarder booking for the exact route and week.
