Plan Bags, Payload
and Container Space
Estimate a safe planning count using product density or measured filled-bag dimensions, packaging tare, pallets, route limits and a configurable buffer.
28,300 kg equipment payload
28,870 kg equipment payload
28,690 kg equipment payload
Reference equipment values from Maersk dry-container specifications. Container series and country limits vary; use the assigned unit's CSC plate and booking instructions.
Container Comparison
Other sizes use their default planning cargo cap; the selected size uses your entered cap.
| Container | Safe bags | Net cargo | Route cap used | Limiting factor |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 20ft Standard Dry (selected) | 476 | 23.80 MT | 26,000 kg | Volume / stacking |
| 40ft Standard Dry | 527 | 26.35 MT | 27,500 kg | Route / weight cap |
| 40ft High Cube Dry | 527 | 26.35 MT | 27,500 kg | Route / weight cap |
What Makes a Packing Plan Reliable?
A container's cubic capacity does not mean it can carry that volume at any weight. Heavy commodities usually reach a payload or route limit before filling a 40ft container; low-density products may reach volume first. High Cube equipment adds space, not unlimited legal payload.
For final planning, replace averages with an assigned container number and CSC plate, carrier booking restrictions, measured gross bag weight, filled-bag dimensions, pallet layout and loading trial. The verified gross mass must follow the applicable shipping process.
