What the Snapshot Does Not Prove
The table shows that price ranges vary by market and named grade. One week does not establish a crop trend, supply shortage, future direction or recommended contracting time. These domestic observations also exclude cleaning, processing, analytical testing, packing, inland handling, documents, finance, margin, freight and insurance.
Spices Board's 2025–26 itemwise summary reports turmeric at 7% of Indian spice export value. This is export context, not a price forecast.
Monthly Data-Date Review Workflow
- Open the latest Spices Board weekly market publication.
- Cross-check current mandi records in the Government of India AGMARKNET daily dataset.
- Record date, market, variety/grade, unit, minimum, modal and maximum values.
- Compare multiple observations over time and retain the source file used for the review.
From Mandi Reference to Export Quote
Quote structure
Export quote = contracted lot cost + cleaning/processing + testing + packing + inland handling/documents + finance/margin + freight and insurance required by the Incoterm.
Request comparable offers using the same identity, style, curcuminoid field and method, defects, safety panel, packing, quantity, Incoterm, named place or port, shipment window and quote validity. Do not convert the table directly into an FOB, CFR or CIF benchmark. Use the purchase specification guide for the RFQ structure.
Origin Names Are Not Laboratory Results
Salem, Nizamabad and Erode descriptions do not by themselves establish curcuminoids, moisture, defects, polish or safety. Use the Salem versus Nizamabad guide and the turmeric finger specification page to define the lot.
