Africa is one of India's fastest-growing agricultural export destinations. JFT Agro actively serves West Africa (Benin, Togo, Ghana), East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania), and the Horn of Africa with bulk commodity shipments.
West Africa is the highest-volume African destination for Indian rice. Cotonou (Benin) and Lomé (Togo) function as re-export hubs for landlocked Sahel countries including Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Chad.
East Africa has growing urbanization and rice consumption, with strong demand for both basmati and non-basmati varieties in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
The Horn of Africa requires short transit times and flexible LCL/FCL options due to humanitarian and institutional procurement patterns.
Southern Africa has growing demand for premium Indian products and established import infrastructure in South Africa and Zambia.

Many African countries (Benin, Togo, Guinea) require mandatory pre-shipment inspection. We work with SGS and COTECNA inspectors at origin — certification included in our export documentation.
Required for all cereals and spices. Issued by India's NPPO through APEDA. We arrange this automatically for every shipment — no additional action required from the buyer.
COO is issued by FIEO or Chamber of Commerce. We provide apostilled and legalized versions for countries that require Embassy authentication.
Most Indian agricultural commodities enter West Africa under ECOWAS CET (Common External Tariff). Rice attracts 10–35% depending on product type. We advise on HS classification for minimum duty liability.
We accept 100% Irrevocable LC at sight, TT 30% advance + 70% against scan BL, and for established clients, open account terms after 3 successful transactions.
Required for all grain products entering African ports. We provide methyl bromide or phosphine fumigation certificates from certified operators prior to container sealing.
"JFT Agro has been our rice supplier to Cotonou for 3 years. Their IR-64 parboiled rice consistently meets our quality standards and the COTECNA certificates are always ready before the vessel arrives. Highly recommended."
"We import broken rice from JFT Agro for our milling operation in Lomé. Consistent quality, competitive CIF pricing, and their team is genuinely responsive to our needs. One of the best suppliers from India."
"JFT Agro was able to split a single BL across three different consignees for us in Mombasa. Their logistics flexibility is excellent and the documentation was impeccable for Kenya Revenue Authority clearance."
